Unlike stains which add color to your carpet, bleach and other cleaners remove color from your carpet. This is why you cannot “remove” bleach from your carpet.
Depending on the type of cleaner that makes contact with your carpet they remove different colors.
MIXING THE CUSTOM COLOR DYE FORMULA
The goal of bleach repair is to figure out which colors have been removed from the carpet and then add the colors back to the bleached area. To do this, we use state-of-the-art software to determine the existing colors and the colors needed to restore the carpet to the existing color. Once the colors are determined, we mix dyes to make the perfect formula.
APPLYING THE CUSTOM COLOR FORMULAS TO THE CARPET
Once the dye formula is created, we heat the dye mixture and fill it into a syringe, airbrush, or spray bottle (depending on the size of the spot).
The dye is then applied hot in multiple uniform layers until the carpet is matched to the existing color and completely blends in.
The Process in Pictures
The first step is to neutralize the bleach in the carpet. To do this we heat a special bleach neutralizing agent and apply it deep into the carpet fibers and carpet padding.
Next, we determine what colors are in the original carpet color and what colors have been left over from the carpet bleaching process. To do so we use a revolutionary color matching application.
Tools we need are then pulled out. These tools include our specialty carpet dyes, hot pots to heat the formula, a pile brush, a syringe, and sometimes an airbrushing system.
Once we have our tools we set to work creating a custom dye formula to replace the color loss. We do so by using a consistent amount of water and slowly adding dyes. We are experts in the mixing process.
The formula is then added to the carpet using a syringe, spray bottle, or specialty airbrushing system. We apply the dye in layers to evenly restore the color and prevent the dyed area from becoming too dark.
Lastly, we touch up on small details to make sure that the carpet looks uniform. We can restore patterned carpet, rugs, and other floor textiles that you may have in your home.
